This naturally caffeine-free tea is perfect for supporting you through the winter months and beyond. It can be served hot or cold and while I don't think it needs any sweetener, you could add in some honey, liquorice root or fennel seeds for some natural sweetness.

Sage has anti-aging qualities that are perfect for balancing female hormones during menopause and supporting bone health (because its very high in vitamin K). Its been shown to reduce wrinkles , lower LDL cholesterol (the one associated with heart disease), and reduce blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity.

I've blended it here with ginger and a couple of pieces of lemon zest to give it an even bigger antioxidant punch; perfect if you are suffering with a winter cold or flu symptoms. Both ginger and sage are also know to treat gum disease as well.

Simply put a couple of leaves (more once you get used to the taste) into a cup with hot water and allow to steep for 10 - 15 minutes for a good strong brew. You can use fresh or dried leaves both of which are readily available at your local supermarket.
